CURIOUS ABOUT HAIR JIGS FOR CRAPPIE? WATCH THIS!

I’m a Plastics Guy. There’s no doubt about that! But, a photo on Facebook sparked my interest in trying Hand Tied Jigs.

Raymond at Rocky Mountain Custom Jigs posted a photo of some Jigs he had made and by golly they were pretty close to one of my favorite Crappie chasing colors. So, I reached out to him and asked if a few tweaks could be made. Different color head, #2 sickle hook were the only things I wanted changed. “Sure thing” he said.

I already like this fishing action speaking of early in the morning 3 or 5 years ago I went before daybreak got there the sun was just rising as I parked my truck and grabbed my bait caster and walked down to the slue coming off the creek . I stopped when I saw a really big blue herring fly quickly up and away like a dark gray blue bler . Anyway there was a two and a quater lb slab white croppy flopping on the narrow point of bank going out and into the water . Well I caught zip that day . But with minnows or spinners it's a good spot .
