Suzanne Somers' husband, Alan Hamel, reacts to her Oscars In Memoriam snub in an exclusive statement to ET. Alan says he 'respects' the Academy's decision not to include Suzanne in the segment, and he feels that the ‘outpouring’ of love she received from fans after her death was a tribute she would have 'lovingly embraced.'

Suzanne was mostly a *TV* star, and she was already in the 75th Emmys In Memoriam anyway.

She wrote the book Keeping Secrets in the 1980’s. It helped me a lot as it was about being a child of an alcoholic. I had never read a book like it before. The In Memoriam segment of the Oscars was not good this year. It was actually hard to see who was being honored as it seemed the background was far away. Suzanne Somers will definitely be remembered.

Her name was listed at the end of the segment on a text wall. There were several other notable people listed with her: Norman Lear, Michael Lerner, Lance Reddick, Tom Smothers, Frances Sternhagen, Ray Stevenson, Sinead O'Connor, Frédéric Forrest, George Maharis, Treat Williams amd Burt Young. These people also didn't get their portraits shown.

Her husband is a very supportive man
Suzanne fought long and hard for her health
Suzanne had every right to be paid as much as her male co workers
She had SO much courage

Suzanne was an incredible human being in all the right ways, those of us who know her will always remember what a creative, entrepreneurial compassionate human being she was/is, sad that Hollywood let her down. R.I.P. Suzanne❤️🕊

I loved her characters on "Three's Company " and then "Step by Step." She was always a ray of light and such a sweet, bubbly, and intelligent woman in interviews. My man just went through battling bladder cancer this past year, and it has been hell so I couldn't even imagine decades of fighting it. She was still positive and smiling through all that she was going through. Such an amazingly strong woman, and she is definitely in heaven becoming a guardian angel after all she has battled

She wasn't in motion pictures. She was famous for her work on television and was honored for that at the Emmy Awards

If Matthew Perry was included, Suzanne Summers absolutely should have been. Her memory will live on for so long. 😢❤

She was mentioned at the end but in small letters. It was not grand like many others but she was mentioned.

Suzanne was the girl in the Thunderbird in American Graffiti. It was a very small role but the part was central to the whole movie.
