Hey Friends! Time for predicting some design trends for the upcoming year.
This is part 1 of 2. Curated by Diana Malewicz and Me. Most visuals by Diana Malewicz, projects are done by their respective authors (full list of authors in the article we wrote on the topic).

This time we looked at a couple popular design trends - some got a stronger position and grew in popularity, some new ones started emerging and more. The UX industry and especially the UI part is constantly evolving with new ideas, concepts and merging of existing trends in creative ways.

Here's what you should look out for in 2022 if you're a UI or UX designer.

my favorite style is some version of glassmorphism along with aurora. My designs are usually minimal before joining UI, and seemed to incorporate many of these design trends (maybe because I started recently). Hopefully, this translates into an easier hiring process!

i'm doing a project with dark-themed brutalism and a section using simple glassmorphism.
The two styles fit quite well as long as you know how to put it

Claymorphism with flat design will definitely be peak modern design for 2022

I like all but gradients look really nice. I had to code a portfolio with projects for my class and I was able to use gradients for it. I'm happy with the result. Most of my classmates also went for gradients. I'm happy to hear they're staying for 2022.

Can you please share the link to those minimalist designs which caught your eyes

Claymorphism still looks very effy to my eyes, I'll try it out for dribbble though. Aurora is really good and helps with the aesthetic usability effect overall for me.

Claymorphism seems like the 3D equivalent of that uninspired corporate art style we all know

I was wondering about the claymorphism examples you've picked, . Can they be made with a 2D software ? It looks 3D made
