Kernow Chilli Farm Tour with a New & Unique Propagator method

Take a tour around the Kernow Chilli Farm at the start of the year see how it all starts from propagation to the poly tunnel where the plants grow on to mature and produce thousands upon thousands of chilies, which are then used in his sauces, seeds etc
One off his propagators is very unusual however very clever, combining the use off a tropical fish tank heater (thermostat controlled) and a water pump to circulate the water, the seed trays are placed floating on the water and thus the warmth will keep the roots and plugs warm.
With over 120 varieties many super hots and world breaking chili, Terry has amassed a selection to be jealous off ;-)

May sound strange however soak the seeds in luke warm tea for a couple off hours before you sew... its magic. Try having a look at one of the seeds you have sown has it sprouted? Sometimes they go mouldy... wory checking also wat temp are you germinating at? The best is around the 27c mark. ;-)

Got any tips for growing black cobra peppers? I'm having problems trying to get the seeds to sprout.

Well in the past I've tryed a bunch of differnt methods and they've failed. I'm trying one right now like the one you told me but instead of tea its with warm water. If it fails I'll try yours next. I have more seeds. As for the temp the the weather where I live right now is about 80 F. So about the same as 27c. I'll update you if I get them growing or not.

Hi, there are no special tips for this type, the basics of chilli growing apply to all.. plenty of sunlight, good compost, keep watered, feed regularly and assit plant if need be during flowering. Ie if indoors shake the plant gently to aid pollination;-) hope this helps?
