They're truly beautiful magnificent animals and how well we get along with them depend solely on the energy we both share. If you are nervous or anxious around horses.. they will be also. They will be skiddish and jumpy and somewhat unpredictable. But if you have a calm, loving, caring demeanor... So will they! You can lie/deceive other people & most animals. Even yourself. But what you can't do is get around a horse with your true intentions if they are not good. Horses are wonderful creatures because of their beauty, agility, stamina, endurance. They can out work & out show most other animals. But they are very reliable, loyal lie detectors as well!! ❤

Arabians are not a rare breed, they are one of the most popular in the world, with more than a million worldwide! There are many breeds rarer than the Arabian, or for that matter, rarer than some of the other breeds on this list.

The list is missing the Caspian, which is among the rarest of all breeds.
Also missing is the very rare Knabstrupper, a Danish sport horse breed with (usually) a spotted coat. I strongly suspect that some of the "Appaloosas" are actually the rarer Knabstrupper. Leopard spotting is more common in Knabstruppers than in the Appaloosa, although all patterns of spotting, and non-spotted horses, occur in both breeds.
The Exmoor and Dartmoor ponies are both rarer than the better known Shetland.
