Goats will eat ANYTHING. Goats will get pushy and jump pretty high (problematic). This guy can show up with a trailer and let the sheep loose for an hour or two and everyone is safe and entertained by watching sheep. Total win and positive idea. 100% support.

People have been renting goats to clear out brush for hundreds of years

Very Good. I used goats on my land and they eat about anything. Great for cleaning out unwanted brush and even wild blackberries. It took the 25 goats a year to clean up 5 acres of undergrowth. Plus it got some fertilizer too.
Good Luck to Lamb Mowers

I once knew a guy who lived in San Francisco that bought a sheep. He hasn't had a problem with his overgrown bush ever since.

I'm guessing PETA may have a problem with forcing animals to work.😂

We can absolutely recommend this. There is nothing more relaxing or meditative than sitting among some sheep and listen to their grazing sounds.

My old company (85 acres) was surrounded by vegetation, not under our authority. Goat-herders came by every year, and their flocks munched down the grass around us, which was a perennial fire hazard.

We contracted with them to come onto our property one year. I learned three things:
1. They did a phenomenal job.
2. Don't let them eat patches of poison-oak because they poop it out, spreading it everywhere. And
3. The goat-herders dogs ain't Lassie or Benjie. If you think to try to pet one of the cute and friendly little mower-goats, the dogs instantly become terrifying four-legged velociraptors, bent on leaving an impression you will never forget.

I learned this trick back in Indiana. Guys would buy lambs in the spring, use them to mow their law all summer, sell them as grass fed sheep in the fall, fattened up on their lawn. For heavy brush, guys use goats for this all the time. This is not a new idea or new practice.

Considering the nuances* that can come with owning large amount of animals specifically if you run out of grass on your land, this is genius. Hes getting paid to feed his animals. Good for him

I've joked about doing this in my yard for years didn't think you could legally rent them though lol. I'd hope they survey the area first for the sheep's sake. Would like details on how long it takes roughly to clear a average yard per goat breakdown if possible for pricing and scheduling. Would actually prefer this route considering rough terrain for my rider mower. Clever way to get more people interested in personal livestock though

This service has been available for decades. This is just City people letting each other know what country people do.

Sheep eat vegetation to the ground. That was the problem with sheep grazing the plains along side cattle. Goats are great for trimming back shrubs and weeds. Used to rent our goat for $5 a day and a sixpack of beer.

You have been able to rent 'Goat Tractors'' in AUSTRALIA FOR ABOUT TEN YEARS NOW. Manly to get rid of weeds and other non-native plants like black berry bush. They are the best way to het rid of weeds as they love all that stuff. They get locked in by a [plastic tape fence and do a better job than chemicals!

This has been going on for decades. I remember driving to work in the a.m. and one herder and two dogs moving from property to property. No fees. Sheep get fed. Smaller pastures get cut. This guy is using climate change as an excuse for his business when he didn't have to go there. Congratulations to him and I would invest in this
