8mm hook
Please note that you can use any yarn and any hook size with this pattern.

How can i make smaller squares for my 7yo? I did 4 sqares without the extra row but its still too big Im using 6.5 mm hook with acrylic yarn that recomandes 4-5mm

I have a question. So if I'm correct you are using a yarn that a 4mm hook is recommended for however you use a 8mm hook instead? I'm asking because I don't think I can find this yarn in the country I live in, but I can find others that 4mm hook is recommended for.

Also, about what size is this piece? If I want a bit bigger should I use same yarn but just go up 1 size in hook?
