I agree with this sentiment. People want to sterilize the idea of meat, but in doing so they miss out on the beauty of being part of a food chain.
If someone doesn't want to eat rabbit, that is entirely their choice. But judging someone for enjoying it is a bit rude.
Rabbits are cute sure, but they are also a quick breeding pest in some places that eat out food sources of other animals when they begin to breed out of control.
Culling their populations is important to the ecosystems they're invasive in, so why waste the meat?
Squirrel is much the same, and even tastes similar, though personally I prefer it over rabbit.
Both go well with stewed apples.
