The rythmn of the third movement must have been based on Bach's observation of the way happy children almost run an skip at the same time. Did he know this was what he was doing? Bach always knew what he was doing.

I can't get my head around Bach's genius, except to say I guess he was building blocks on a base left by Renaissance and earlier Baroque composers.

In my copy the last eighth-note in the pedal in bar 33 is G-natural, but I can hear a G-sharp on the recording. Different editions?

Bertold Prengel Bachs Triosonaten wurden für Pedalcembalo komponiert. Deshalb sollten sie nicht mit einer Trompete 8' gespielt werden. Der sehr starke Nachhall der Kirche sollte mehr berücksichtigt werden um ein caotisches Klangerlebnis zu vermeiden....!!! B.P. Orgelbaumeister
