Twin-engine UAV AKSUNGUR, designed by TAI, broke a record with its domestic engine. The aircraft broke a new record by reaching an altitude of 30 thousand feet, or approximately 9 thousand 144 meters, in 2 hours and 30 minutes with two PD-170 series engines made by TEI.

TAI, which has attracted attention with the performance it has demonstrated in ANKA and AKSUNGUR unmanned aerial vehicles in recent years, continues its work with AKSUNGUR without slowing down.

The UAV, which has a high payload capacity and achieved another success, took off this time with the TEI-PD170 engine developed by TEI with national resources. In his flight with a national engine, AKSUNGUR rose to an altitude of 30 thousand feet and remained in the air for two and a half hours.

Developed by TEI, the PD170 series produces 170 horsepower, as its name suggests. Currently, the PD170 series is used in TAI's ANKA, its twin-engine model AKSUNGUR, as well as Baykar's TB3 model, which made its first flight recently.

Türkiye are not getting F16 because of some anti Türkiye congress members and euro fighters because of German blocking even though Türkiye don’t ask for any discount.
In few years Türkiye will not buy F16 or Euro fighters with discount. They are very close to have their own fighters with own engines.
