AKSUNGUR Combat Drone Drops a Mk82 bomb with Wing Assisted Guidance Kit (KGK)

Turkish Aerospace (TUSAS)'s Aksungur combat drone dropped a Mk82 bomb with TÜBİTAK SAGE's "Wing Assisted Guidance Kit" (KGK) at Sinop test range. The Mk82 KGK precision guided bomb that was tested recently weights 340 kg and hit its target with pinpoint accuracy (2.5 mt) after gliding 30 km.

AKSUNGUR is a Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) class unmanned combat aerial vehicle / drone (UCAV) System, capable of performing day and night Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and strike missions with EO/IR, SAR and SIGINT payloads. UCAV has an high payload capacity (+750 kg of external load) and can carry an impressive arsenal of Turkish made air to ground smart weapons including: Cirit (2.75″ Laser Guided Missile), MAM-C (2.75” - 70 mm smart bomb), MAM-L (160 mm smart bomb), Teber-81 & Teber-82 (Laser Guided Mk-81 & Mk-82), HGK-3 (Precision Guidance Kit), L-UMTAS (long range laser guided anti-tank precision missile), KGK-82 (Wing Assisted Guidance Kit) and Small Diameter Bomb. Aksungur UCAV is powered by 2 forward-mounted PD-170 dual-turbocharged diesel engines developed by Tusaş Engine Industries (TEI), equipped with three-bladed propellers in a tractor (puller) configuration.
