Many moons ago I had a flatmate here in Australia. His surname was McLaren and he was a Kiwi. When he started taking his motorcycle down to replace a valve, I said that I could see that he knew what he was doing. He said his father had a garage in Hamilton ( New Zealand). Bells started to ring and a moment later I asked if he was any relation to Bruce McLaren. "He was my uncle.", he said. I still have his impact screwdriver and a suitcase which he left behind when he went back to NZ on sudden family business. Vale Bruce McLaren, died at Goodwood, 1970.

1:29: What a beautiful and amazing machine. What an privilege for the girl to drive this great car. In Europe, such old indycars are seldomly to see. - only in Goodwood...

I think this might be Johnny Rutherford's 1978 or '79 car rather than 77. In '77 he drove car # 2 in the "500" not # 4.
