I usually like PVP games, but not in survival games. My experience with PVP in survival games is that the winner usually goes to the people who have more free time. I could be completely geared out, but my home would be destroyed by cavemen using spears because they would relentlessly attack my home while I'm out working. Because of this, I usually just stay in PVE servers. Of course, I'm pretty excited with new scenarios coming out!

If they don't have a PVE scenario, this will be the gravestone update for the game. Over 90% of the player base plays on PVE, and many on the PVP servers want to switch to PVE. There's going to be a colossal drop in players if they don't have a PVE scenario for season 2.

i wasnt gonna play once human, saw the review bombs, saw alot of bad reviews saying gameplay was bad etc, then i saw an old relic of a youtube sub (hod) saying once human was actually fun. i have mad respect for you from years of ark so, hey, i gave it a shot. gotta say, ive not been let down, games fucking ace, broke my wrist so im off work for a few weeks and a game like this i can sink my teeth into is just what the doctor ordered!

Should I wait 2 months to get into October Scenario, or just play Manibus assuming its another 6 weeks. Would that mean the October Scenario is technically season 3?

Unless they have a comparable PVE mode, this will kill the game, there are many more PVE players than PVP.

Make it harder sure but going only PVP will destroy this game completely.

Well let's see what they're going to do but... I started my channel just because I enjoy this game for the pure PVE. If they are not planning to add any PVE scenario/content (idc if is in 1 month or 2 months) then I quit and I'll start again to play Ark survival. I know Ark ASA is not the same as the ARK SE but I played ARK SEfor 8 years and I'm sure I'll enjoy the survival and the PVE more in this game than the next 2 months in Once Human. Let's see what the devs are going to do...

This is still confusing af . Like we are in week 6 now andni have 0 idea still what will happen between now and new scenario
... just no new content? And stay on a map that ive completed (almost). I dunno its the not the clearest imo. With no level reset or there will. Yeah .. confusion

My biggest gripe with this is that PvP isn't rewarding at all, there's no ranking or ladder. Killing people for their loot isn't what I want. Your gear getting absolutely destroyed by PvP and dropping random items when killed is only going to incentivize naked runs, do we want to be Rust now? Please no.

For anyone who’s actually played the game. PVE and PvP phase 1 are literally the same. The only major differences between the two servers is Warband wars or prime wars. Other then minor small things like cortex’s that is the only significant diffrence. The game is amazing no matter which you play. I recommend doing pve first just to get a feel of the game. But literally no matter what you choose both first phases will be the exact same for about 95%.

Just play the game. I promise you will enjoy it either way

If it's new maps we've never seen each season they have a winner. Adding in some extreme weather to survive will be interesting.

I wonder if there's any value in crafting tier 1 gear to save for the new scenario. Not that the early game is difficult at all (I wouldn't mind if it were harder). If "transfer slots" are limited other items might be better since early gear doesn't matter much. I just like the idea of having a strong efficient start.

Coming mainly from thousands of hours to ARK, I'm going to stick to this game for a bit. The devs are doing a great job listening to the feedback and communicating with us. Player count is consistently 100k+ so excited to see all the changes being made

Eh, I was considering playing this until i found out about the "seasons" wiping thing, and now it looks like they're going to have seasons that are only PvP (a game mode which I absolutely despise in any game). I'll give this one a pass until there is more stability and maybe until that year-long one comes out.

I can't fathom anyone liking Rust/Ark 24/7 offline base raiding, and championing bringing that toxic, cowardly culture into a new game. There is NO skill involved, and it requires people to play the game 24 hours a day, which is just an unhealthy thing to force on your player base.

Atlas and other games had you set "raid-able" time windows at which you would have to be online to defend every day but you get to control when these are. Otherwise no base raiding at all is fine too; I'm fine just looting kids out in the wild.

They already confirmed that we would have full access to any blueprints we unlock in all future seasons. Nothing will be locked. But you will have to re-craft and re-upgrade everything from scratch each season for fair play reasons.
