For me I separate 82 as such 80+2. Then, 25% is just a quarter so, a quarter of 80 is 20 and a quarter of 2 is .5.

Or if you are lazy to directly work it out in your head, break it up. 80/4 = 20 and 2/4=0, 5. Add them for 20.5

Another way is to simply, just convert 25 percent into a decimal which is just 0.25 and then you will multiply 82 (0.25) which is 20.50

Just take 10% of 82, which is 8.2, double it which is 16.4, then half 10% which is 8.2 / 2 = 4.1, then add that onto 16.4 which is 16.4 + 4.1 = 20.5

To make it more simple just divide the number by 4 for 25% for 50% divide it by 2 for 20% divide it by 5 for 33.33% divide it by 3 and so if you can learn the fractions it will be easy to find percentage

this is a nice math trick, ive used it for quickly doing some 2 digit by 2 digit, but youre better off just dividing 82 by 4 then halving it twice, 2 operations means twice the opportunity to mess up

You can LOOK at 82 and know what half is. Then you divide that number by two for the answer.
