I work in one of the largest bank in Canada... let me tell you guys, its not worth it. I will be resigning soon as I can see now how day after day all my blessings dissolve away from me like salt in the rain.

Banks are evil and we are paid using their income which is purely earned from their exploit of human beings. May Allah make it easy for all the Muslims in dunya to earn halal. Ameen

If you cannot find a job anywhere except a bank and your age is also running out looking for a job and you cannot get married if u don't have a job and if you don't marry you will fall into sin... What is the ruling in such a case? Please answer

These scholars present deen in such a way that it appears deen is only feasible for the ones with wealth, i mean they don't understand the ground reality of poor muslim that dont have islamic banks around them we have mo means but to take loans for getting a house, education, doing a business otherwise all we will be left with is miserable life which will invite more such problems in practicing the deen, how could u expect some1 struggling to earn his daily bread and butter from working in a bank to immediately leave the job and find anything else to do when all his life he had been working in same industry, how is this haram income when he is getting salary from the bank not direct intrest out of someone's pocket? Was that specifically mentioned in quran or hadith that u r not allowed to work in a bank or take a loan even if ur life ur families needs depends on it ? How is this haram when u r just doing ur job honestly not hurting any1 in the process not looting any nor having bad intentions just trying to make a living by legitimate means ? I don't think The almighty Allah will disapprove of this, i think interest being haram at that time would be mentioned in context that lending ur own money to needy with intention of exploiting their money or earning a profit out of some1 misery, however doing a job or taking a loan from bank is not the same thing, . These scholars come from well to do families not everyone can manage to leave their jobs, try presenting deen in right context please don't misguide poor muslims

A country's economy runs by bank. Everyone has bank account, many people cannot help but take loans otherwise it is not possible for them to buy a house, start a business, continue education. So all of them are doing haram? Banking is a business. And country’s econony depends on it, you cannot completely avoid bank, and poor, undeveloped country people who needs a job do not have that many options. Please think critically. Everything is not black and white.

What about working in a central bank? Executive officer post? Central bank doesn't take or give interest but they control its subsidiary banks. The amount of interest a bank can work with is decided by the central bank. I don't know what executive officer actually does. How they get paid and from where the money come. So it is halal to work in central bank? I really need that answer.

I’m here because I work as a relief officer covering various sites, one of which is a bank at night and this is temporary. I don’t feel easy about it but I’m not involved in operations nor hired directly by the bank itself. The example he gave for the hotel serving alcohol that the person is allowed to work so as long as he or she is not directly involved with serving alcohol, but hotel also involves in RIBa transactions such as accepting advanced bookings and the used of borrowed money and credit cards as well as hidden 3:03 fees. No matter which organisation you work with there will always be a level of non Islamic compliance. What I take away from what is said here is you can work so as long as you are not directly involved to the haram aspect and always try to find another one that is more Islamic friendly.
