Appreciate what you’re saying about this bike and I like your real world experience from a user’s perspective. Gold for me.

Good to hear. I'm a bit like you, many bikes over a bunch of years. I just picked up a 450MT a few days ago to slot between my 990R and my WRR. I was torn between the 450 and the 1390R (not the 390R) and my initial CF MOTO experience has been quite positive. I'm hoping the 800 lives up to its little brother when it finally arrives here in the States. Thanks for your time and effort.

Excellent review thanks for sharing, having been waiting for an english review of this bike! The only things you may need to spend money on are crash bars and luggage racks. I have 800MT and am considering switching to this fore more off-road ability.

A great honest review from someone that knows what he’s talking about. Thank you. If you were a rider (like me), who predominantly rides on the road with occasional light off roading, would you still recommend this or the 800MT with the 19”/17” combination? I do like that the X has a good bump in torque compared to the non X model. As a 50 something rider, who’s been riding for over 45 years I’m looking for something to add to my stable that is also capable off road so I can enjoy riding with a group of friends who have all converted to various ADV motorbikes and I was looking at the Norden (standard model), yet not sure it’s worth the big price difference compared to this. Just subscribed to your channel. Cheers, Marcus.

Thank you very much for this nice review!
Sounds very legit and professional to me and I am very happy to hear your experiences which has much more value for me than any paid influencer or keyboard warrior.

once more, thx Dean!

Great review. I test rode one on the weekend was very impressed, but I found the wind protection pretty bad, curious how tall you are? I'm 6 foot and found at the highest setting I got terrible helmet buffeting, and at the lower settings it all ended up under my chin causing noise. Hoping a high screen would push it over the helmet. Only other downside was the heat at low speeds which I assumed was from the total lack of air flow from the low slung tanks, or could be because the demo only had 50ks on it.

Agreed on the rear pegs being a bit awkward, I found the standing position excellent, but my knees got a bit fatigued sitting, maybe a high seat would improve that too.

Hope to see some more content as you play around with it!

Great! I have been waiting for an Aussie review. I am very interested in this bike. I know this is a 790 Adventure R clone, but how does this ride offroad compared to a Tenere 700?

Do you know what apps the TFT support for GPS? Fram what I have read it can display you're phone screen but no one been going in depth how it works. Cheers

Looks like an immediate suspension upgrade necessary just like the little brother. Doesn't sound great either. But the spec sheet and inclusions make it hard to beat for value for money.

Like the KTM 790 I sat on, the rear ward peg position isn't for me on an adventure bike. The new MT450 I sat on seemed normal.

I bought this motorcycle, and the angle of his pedal is really problematic for my height of 1.9 meters.

Pick mine up tomorrow. So far worst purchase experience ever. Terrible customer service, product knowledge and enthusiasm. Every single thing has been tedious and painful. They need to get there crap together if they want to be serious about this brand. However this might not reflect all dealers and people's experience.
