Instead of filling politicians pockets with the lawsuit that money should go back to the people who got scammed from it.

On those 99 Accords whenever I have one come in the shop with transmission problems the first thing I do is remove the solenoid that's located near the dipstick. The solenoid has little filter screens that get clogged up very easily. If you clean out the screen with some brake clean and compressed air a lot of times it will fix shifting issues. I always recommend trying this method first before sending it off to a transmission shop

I know at least 2 people who have the E89 2.0L diesel engines. One in a VW and the other in an Audi. They had their engines re-programmed, got lots of $$ back from the factory, free maintenance, etc. Then, they re-programmed them back to run like before, restoring power and mileage...and back to super polluting the air... So much for the 'fix'..LOL!!!

The thumbnails really had me cracking up this time. The bigwheel and the gorilla when he said oooh especially. We get good advice and laugh at the same time. Go Scottie.

Hey Scotty,
I work as a car porter and drive brand new 2021 Jeep Wranglers and Gladiator “trucks” everyday at a subcontractor. They don’t even make it off the lot before starting their crazy problems, we all laugh honestly. I get in and start the “eco diesel “ models and I accelerate and it has the lowest amount of acceleration possible, these cars suck! And a lot of them pop on the check engine light and we basically have to drive it with even lower acceleration…. I will never buy a Chrysler made product. Great video man, I’ve gained a lot of real world knowledge from you.

Hi Scotty, loving your channel here in Australia. The 79 series landcruiser utes (pick ups) sell well here with a 4.5L turbo diesel V8 with single and dual cab options. Elsewhere in the world they are found in 6 cylinder non turbo diesel. They average around 15-23 mpg. They can be a risky second hand buy though as the mining companies here buy them and sell them after a real hard life. It's probably the most basic interior and optioned vehicle you'll ever find too. Air conditioning was optional until recently, window winders, vinyl interior and all for the equivalent of US$50, 000+

For Nissan hard cranking condition, M/T & A/T run a new heavy gauge ground cable from the (battery ground) to the closest (bell housing bolt) to the starter. Nissan used the bond between eng. and trans. As the ground for the starter. Corrosion builds up between the two and cause a poor ground to the starter and starter Bendix.

I don't blame them... government regulations on diesels are unreasonably strict as it is! Efficiency and reliability of them has taken a huge nosedive! I'll stick with my 03 Cummins

Scotty, what about a 2012 Accord that shutters occasionally under slight acceleration around 25 to 35 mph? Also the traction control switch in the dash isnt working. Car has only 74k miles but ive read about issues with the trans. Whats your thoughts?

Another great video! One thing: I once had a 6-cylinder Volvo wagon that one day started to exhibit transmission issues. It would not downshift until it warmed up a little. After a couple of days, I checked the transmission fluid level and it was a little low. After I topped it up, the transmission worked flawlessly. Before I topped it up, it just needed a little heat to expand it and bring it up to a level where it could work.

Sweet! My 91 f150 just started taking longer to start, I'm going to try the cleaner and the filter first, that's the cheapest and easiest thing to do. Thanks!
