Very interesting subject to discuss about in those days. Thank you Robert. You're definitely right. People rush over to trends to feel include and telling other people to go educate themselves when they clearly unaware of the full story too. Ignorance can lead to confusion, and then to be easily brainwashed. Explore, learn and see both sides before deciding to talk about something.

This is problem with social media and short form content. People see a few posts with a few slides and subtle information with out the full context or watch a quick TikTok video and don’t realize the situation is deeper and more complex than what they know. But this stupidity is going to get worse since everyone is online and they get information like this

the introduction hit me hard. actions that lead to unintended consequences is such a description of my life that it hurt but is a first step to getting less stupid. thanks Robert. you are great

I also developed that bull shit meter during my life.
I used to think that I had little knowledge about most things when watching other people being so assertive on different topics. With time, after learning some things, I realized that most of what I heard about those things were not exactly right. So, I started figuring out that most people convince themselves that they know things, and I started being suspicious about everything I hear, and if I am curious about that subject, I do my own research. I would not pretend I know a lot and what's right, but probably enough to sometimes identify what's wrong.

Oh boy, I used to be the illustration for “stupidity is actions that lead to untintended consequences”. I’m glad I grew up. And I’m glad I found this channel. Thank you, mr. Greene ❤

On full display exactly what Robert outlined I witnessed today by executives. The conviction almost rises to anger and a gittyness of certainty. Spice in the narcissist tendency, dismissal of a detailed review of the questionable and others concerns tenderized by bogus reasons why the thought was really something else but I didn’t read the memo so I’m ok in the ignorance. The kinds of insanity we have to tolerate to feed our needs is the reason you sit there. Here I listen and try to learn I don’t agree with everything but the learned parts proffered interpreted in sincerity I will always really appreciate as we look for answers. A heartfelt thanks for what’s it worth and my devotion to your mission and work.

Hey Mr. Greene, your talk on human stupidity really got to me. It's a shame publishers aren't into these deep real-life topics. I'd totally read a book about it! Your ideas are awesome, even if they upset some people. Keep doing what you do! ❤

Hi Robert, Thank you for another incredibly useful piece of life changing information. I find myself to have the stupidity symptoms. I also find that my ego, lack of patience and excitement to just jump into a new project, keeping me from doing more research and falling into the trap of confirmation bias. This is a great reminder for me and I think for all human beings.

I have been finding having confidence in the little that I know to be helpful in my line team, as here, it is easy to be dismissed and essentially ignored. These days I prefer being wrong in front of everybody than to keep quiet about what I think I know to be true about the subject when someone with more experience says otherwise.

It is a painful way to learn, but I never forget what I take from such embarressing moments of being told you been wrong this whole time about a subject. But it only happens once for each subject, I make sure of that, as in the moment, I gather all I can to ensure that I will never feel that pain for that subject again.

Am 30 now, and am still building my database of painful lessons, so far so good coz am still alive and even more confident and healthy. I am getting used to this type of pain, I choose it at times.

I watched a lot of videos on this topic. I wanted someone to explain what I have always thought about stupidity and you explained and described this exactly how I always felt. Thank you.

Thank you, Mr. Greene, for your sane perspective on stupidity. I will try to read some actual books upon the subjects that had lead to current events, because I can see, my mind is currently closing up on mere outrage. I appreciate the advertisement of Babble. I do trust your opinion on things and am having difficulties (and limited funds) in learning my 7th language. I will give it a try. It is my genuine gratitude, as the written word cannot carry the tone of voice and all the above may be understood as irony.

Without human stupidity, Starbucks, Louis Vuitton, and Apple would be out of business.

Lol that was my thought when I was depressed like hell, I saw how incompetent and stupid people caused more suffering and chaos than the outright evil themselves and that's what I fear of becoming, not about being evil but incompetent and stupid since we don't really know what will happen tomorrow

Robert Greene, the word stupid is related to foolish. I have been collecting quotes from famous people over time. Whether Franklin, Einstein, or Mark Twain, most writers, intellectuals, and famous people have said succinct comments on stupid, idiots, and fools, . Thank you for your genius in gathering knowledge, digesting, and explaining in a list, law, or topic manner. Andy Lee Graham world traveler.
