Spock's surprise visit to The Carol Burnett Show

The most absurd we ever saw Spock was in this 1967 cameo on The Carol Burnett Show!

I've just read a couple of comments on FB that said (1) She was a big Star Trek fan, and (2) She had no idea Nimoy was waiting in the wings. That expression on her face when he walked out was real. 😁

Leonard Nimoy, I met him once. He shook my hand and ask if I knew him from something other than Star Trek, I responded from "Them, Invasion of the Body Snatcher, In Search Of. Give me more time and I will come up with more." He smiled and put his hand on my sholder. "I like you" he told me.
I was 20 at the time. It was 30 years ago.

Given Nimoy stayed in character and the timeframe, I accept this as Trek canon, ie Spock made an appearance in a 20th century sketch comedy show due to a temporal/transporter anomaly

Just the LOOK on Carol's face as she sees Spock...PRICELESS. It must've been loads of fun having shows being done in studios so close to each other, surprise appearances were common.

There have been numerous TV Vulcans, but none come close to the superb portrayal of Spock by the incredible Leonard Nimoy! He was the original and best, and is sadly missed by his many fans! Spock certainly did "Live Long and Prosper"! R.I.P. Leonard!

This skit with Spock was so funny, and with Nimoy staying in character made even funnier. 😂I loved watching the Carol Burnett show growing up in the 70’s. There was so many great verity shows to watch back then.

I'm guessing even Carol didn't know that Nimoy was going to appear in that skit. The look on her face is priceless and that's something you can't fake. LOL He was a good sport for doing that and to stay in costume as Spock.

I miss Leonard Nimoy. Spock was one of my favorite characters. But I still get to hear his voice whenever I play Civilization IV. :-)
