Man Plugin Alliance is straight up FIRE 🔥. This and the Focusrite console are good. It seems as if you guys are getting better and better with your emulations. (I’ve damn near bought all of them). Absolutely amazing product line. Thank you. As a hip hop / r&b / pop producer the sexiest preamp I’ve ever heard in studios and from my favorite producer Dr Dre here in LA is the (Avalon VT-737sp Class A Mono Tube Channel you guys emulate this you would have an entire legion of hip hop producers purchasing it. If someone ever emulates that channel strip I hope it’s Brainworx.

A true assessment requires before and after to be level matched. Louder always sounds better. Not saying it isn't improving things but you will only know for sure with matched levels or if you use the device on a consistent basis and are very familiar with it.

Note that all the way to the right (7) on Attack and Release yields the quickest release times and quickest attack times. Not how I would have guessed it worked.
Mono Maker Knob, typically set this between 100-200 Hz, below which bass frequencies reside and are thought best to be left in mono. Turn knob all way up to check mix for phasing issues.

PA is stepping with some great additions. I wish they would update older plugins with the TMT. I have a ton of their stuff, but only one with TMT, the 2098 and it really makes a nice difference

By the way, it's SO annoying reading comments about gain-matching.

From the safety behind your electronic devices, you people patronize professionals that

If you need gain-matched audio to notice the difference because the extra
loudness throws you off, that's a tell-tale sign that YOU LACK A TRAINED EAR.

*Simply, you don't have enough experience to discern the differences. You can hear sounds, but you haven't learned to listen to how sounds sound!*

Really great demonstration. If I could just point out one thing, you changed parameters while doing before and alters.
During the first before and after you brought down the output before engaging the mc77.
It's minute I know but let it be a true before and after

Great demo! I never miss one of your reviews on plugins I am interested in. It is interesting that the link button doesn't quite keep the level the same. You had to adjust the output gain down to get the correct A-B listening environment. Is this because the compressor is reducing the dynamic level or just a quirk of the plugin? I really love the sound of this plugin. It seems to be able to handle anything you throw at it. I demoed it but missed the ability to just get the saturation out of the compressor with the attack button off. How cool!
