My dad was born and raised in SW Virginia, I was born and raised in metro Detroit, we went through Boston on a family vacation and stopped at a McDonald’s for lunch, I had to translate between the kid behind the counter and my dad because these two English speakers couldn’t understand each other. Still my favorite memory from my visit to Boston.

I served on a jury in a civil case in a suburb of Boston. And the plaintiff's lawyer had a wicked Boston accent. He was asking a witness something that involved the word "horsehair". The witness was a Dr. not from the area. And he had no idea what the guy was saying. I almost burst out laughing the third, fourth and fifth time the lawyer had to repeat himself.

To be honest I’m from Boston. Born and raised, still live here. Finding people that actually sound like THIS doesn’t happen often. Like literally I’m from the CITY, 31 y.o and recently moved about 7mins outside the city and literally no one sounds like this. 😑 but it’s nice to see people still try to keep up the stereotype of what we sound like.❤
