Doing another rewatch and I'm always amazed by how well M83's music was utilized on Mr. Robot. Especially season three's finale and the series finale.

How do people invent such amazing sounds? You have no idea how much every part of this album touches and affects every individual piece of my soul. My heart ACHES and music is my outlet. I am not musical at all but I adore and embrace music with all my heart. I am hurting and this music heals me. Thank you

This album was amazing when it was first released, but it has since taken on a new meaning for me... a very close friend of mine died tragically in a motorcycle accident at the age of 27, just last week. If we ever spoke of M83 it was only once or twice... it was definitely not his preferred choice of music... but for whatever reason I found myself coming back to this album and damn near every song reminds me of him... I am simultaneously overcome with sadness and full of joy for being lucky enough to have known him. Thank you to M83 for making such wonderful music and thank you Brian for being such a great friend. I will miss you forever, brother.

my dad would put this album on when i was a kid and whenever he would, i'd imagine i was some kind of a superhero, running across the night city, alone. Now i'm a freshman and during one of my night conversations with my best friends from school i told them about it. They found it really interesting and now we're creating a whole universe based on this idea, for me - based on this album. We are running across the city at night, no longer alone, no longer misunderstood. I think it's really pretty :')
