When you live with chronic pain, your not living your life, your living what the pain will allow. I face it daily, maybe one day I won't be able to anymore. RIP Tom

Maybe he just got tired of being in pain. Pain is exhausting.

Chronic pain is awful knowing everyday will be the same when you lay down and try to sleep. I saw him about 15 times when he played in the Bay Area from the early 80’s through the 2000’s. You couldn’t tell he was hurting he always looked to be enjoying us enjoying him. Miss him man was a huge loss was going to see his last tour which he had to cancel shows so I never got to see him 1 last time.

Miss Tom Petty so much. So talented. He preformed in pain. He should of canceled his tour. He didn't want to disappoint his fans

I was leaving work glancing at my phone walking to my car, OMG, Tom is dead. The reason he connected to the fans, is he made you feel like he was one of us, his fans loved him and as one of them I still do. When you bought tickets to his concerts, he gave it all, you never left feeling cheated. RIP Tom. You didn’t really leave, we still carry you in our hearts.

So sad to loose Tom. I cried, , I saw him play in Berkeley at the Greek Theater only a month before he passed, he was telling the crowd what a great life he had and he loved all his fans, he kept putting his hand on his heart, it seemed he knew it would be his last tour. RIP Tom😢

I was so numb and in disbelief that Tom died, but what was worse was his poor daughter who was devastated by his surprised by his death. After his surgery everyone expected Tom to be on his recovery. My heart and prayers go out to his daughter I hope she found peace .❤ Miss you so much Tom❤

I lived in Sarasota FL, growing up there in my teens probably heard Petty more on the radio in this region then others but really wasnt a fan. So in 1990 or so was given a free ticket to go see him in Tampa FL. I kind of reluctantly went to party more so then see TP. The show started and as it progressed I started to realize how many great songs he had and by the end of the show I was a fan. RIP!

Tom should have postponed the 40th anniversary tour. His hip fracture became a full broken hip. Steve Ferrone had to carry Tom up on stage before the shows started. Tom love being in front of his fans. Thank you TP&HB for all the great music. RIP Tom

It would have been nice if when referring to Don Felder you would have posted a photo of Felder and not Don Henley.
