Heavy seas crash onto the rocks at Hermanus on the Whale Coast in South Africa. #JustAGlimpse. After a few days of high winds and stormy weather, the conditions cleared but the massive swells and waves kept up their relentless attack on the Whale Coast coastline, normally associated with superb whale watching.

Hermanus, on the Walker Bay shoreline, is situated at the base of the Kleinrivier Mountains on the Cape Whale Route, just 100km form Cape Town in the Western Cape.

We own and manage Roger and Pat de la Harpe Photography, which incorporates the Africa Imagery stock photo and video footage library. We've been involved in professional wildlife, travel, lodge and nature photography for some 30 years and have published 27 coffee table books. Our photographs have appeared in many local and international magazines, books, calendars and websites.
