I think the track embodies how cold and heartless v has to become to top or even survive

This music represents a person running out of time. Once a merc with delusions of grandeur, now a deadly machine on warpath for the sole sake of survival. V got their wish of becoming a legend but not the way they thought. The alarm sounds that we hear in the soundtrack represent urgency, desperation, fear and danger. V has nothing to lose. I'm not overly fond of the whole "main character slowly dying" trope (rdr2, batman arkham, farcry 2 etc.) But this i think is the most badass case of that. The eminent threat of death doesn't slow V down but the exact opposite.

The tune at 1:50 is the same as the strings in "Been Good to Know Ya" when V's journey is coming to an end

I thought Doom Eternal's main menu theme could never be topped.

It's honestly hard to determine if this tops it or not because they're both just as noise influenced and badass.

The background sirens are what make this song so intimidating in my opinion.

It really gives you that _AW SNAP_ vibe

This theme encapsulates everything about V.

His humble upbringing, to his dramatic and terrible downfall.

The story of V and the theme song is practically perfect, in the fact that V is dying, but he is continuing to make a name for himself, and is continuing to move on. A man out of time, but not out of badassery.

You can even hear the chaos, the fear, the ticking clock of V's life, the uncertainty, you can hear all about V's story just from this song. Truly masterclass of a soundtrack.
