Mitzi, I think we are twins. 😂 I love writing and all it involves....paper, cards, pens, pencils, journals, planners, stickers. I would enjoy hearing what are your favorite things. Your idea of seasonal reading is beautiful, and I will try it. Miranda Mills is delightful, and so are you. ❤

Yes, we do love our Miranda Mills!! What a gift to YT!! I just found you a few months ago, what a blessing. Seasonal reading is new to me. At Christmas, I did only read holiday books through the month of December. It was a joy.

Love Miranda and her Mum, Donna. I am a seasonal reader. For Jan. I have a huge tote bag with all winter bks. Either snow, ice, or something winery on cover picture or in the title. I have Endurance in there, Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan Henry, Nature Tales For Winter Nights recommended by Miranda, so I bought that a few months ago. I will read 1or 2 every night. Also recommended by Miranda was The Book Lovers Bedside Companion, so bought that to start Jan. 1-- tomorrow night! Miranda 'S recommendations are usually through a bkshp. in England called Blackwells. I REALLY like them. The price of the book INCLUDES shipping to America. OFTEN I have found them cheaper than Amazon Prime! The English covers are ALWAYS prettier than the U.S..So those are my Jan. reads. YES! PLEASE do a sow of your stationary! I am a stationary freak also! Have been since a child!??? Started writing letters in the 3rd gr. to my friend down the street!!! Friends say I could open a Stationary Store. Love to collect fountain pens, all pens, gel pens, note cards, writing paper, ; just ANYTHING to do w/ writing. Stickers too! Big sticker freak here. For many yrs. made my stationary as well as BOUGHT it... that's pretty bad. Paperclips can't be just regular ones; have to be colored or shapes. I'll end here...😉😁😘

I love stationery, notebooks, calendars, all things paper. I’m a list maker as well. I’d love to see your stationery! I am a seasonal and mood reader too. This year I read The Comfort of Crows by Margaret Renkl. She has essays for every week and that’s primarily how I read it all year long. I also bought the quartet from Slightly Foxed of Adrian Bell’s seasonal notebooks, also a recommendation from Miranda. I started with the autumn notebook and am looking forward to reading the winter notebook over January and February. I have the Edwardian Lady’s Diary also and would like to do a reread of it. It’s been years since I first read it.

Love this, Mitzi! I'm a list and organization person, too. This year I really want to carve time out in every day to write our family history, with meaningful photos to create a beautful coffee table book for our family. 💕💕💕

I love notebooks and planners as well. I’ve been doing a year long reading of a seasonal book for about 10 years now. I started with The Shape of a Year by Jean Hersey. I usually read a little section every morning with my coffee. I keep my eye out for these types of books and have a collection now. My choice for this year is The Inland Island: A Year in Nature by Josephine Johnson.

What a beautiful idea! I would be so inconsistent with it, but it sounds like such a lovely way to work your way through the year. I love paper stuff, too.

There is just something so satisfying about writing down tasks/to-dos and then checking them off! 🖊 I have used a Franklin Planner for years - since the 90s - and even though I'm no longer a busy young mom with two school-aged boys, I still use my planner. 🤓 Good luck with your seasonal reading! 📚

The Edwardian Lady was on my list for this year, but I didn’t realize it was a monthly format. I ordered me a copy and I’ll be reading along with you. I like the Edwardian era and Edith Holden is on my Vintage Ladies list. 😊 looking forward to this!

I'd love seeing more. ❤🖊
I make journals, so I have my yearly calendar/journal, my planner/list making journal, and my book review journal.
I enjoy seasonal reading as well. Husbands ...😅
Edit: I read Romancing the Ordinary: A Year of Simple Splendor by Sarah Ban Breathnach this year.

I love the idea of finding books that go throughout the year month by month. I'm going to get one or two and join you! I really want the book with the beautiful pictures of birds - so lovely.
And yes - big list maker too! Not only a feeling of satisfaction completing the task, but making sure I don't forget something!
