Dozens of people were stranded in their cars on California's Interestate-80 as the biggest snowstorm of the season battered the northern part of the state and Nevada. Drivers waited for hours for traffic to begin moving at Donner Summit as conditions worsened.

It never fails. Teling some people to stay put and not go out is just going to make them do it. Give them the bill for any rescue services. Theres no excuse nowadays for not knowing whats going on. Heck even homeless people have cell phones.

I wonder if we are going to be hearing about California's subpar snow response in any similar effect to the degree at which they attempted to make it stick on Texas, or if they won't because Cali is one of their buddies.
