I purchased and installed a similar unit about 2 weeks ago. I carry a total of 8 batteries: 4 for the truck and 4 for the 12v mini split. On a good day of driving at least 8 hrs, all the batteries are fully charged and the unit will run all night on the coolest setting and the fan on the lowest setting. It is not as noisy as I expected it might be after watching several other installation videos. I suspect removing the adjustable louvers will help to assuage the sound, and I have found no real difference changing the direction of the louvers anyway. I think my unit would run longer on the batteries, but my 12v refrigerator/freezer competes for power, so I get a solid 8-10 hours. The truck is running 4 agm batteries, and the air conditioner is running 4 Marine Deep Cycle 850 CCA batteries.

There is a kill switch separating truck and parking batteries.

I saved a little money and purchased a heavy duty, gauge 2 set of jumping cables to connect everything, and I still have 12 feet remaining.

The system seems to work well. I will have to move the blower fan a little higher as it blows on my headache rack and does not vent as well as it should, and the shut down sensor will engage on really hot days. Other than this and having to learn a little Chinese, the unit has been working well.

I purchased mine on Ebay from a seller who had over 10, 000 sales and 98% positive, and it cost less than $400, including S+H.

Try adding rubber pads between outdoor unit and mounting bracket
Will fix the noise and vibration that’s what I did

How many hours last before drain your batteries?

If you're sensitive to noise you should not sleep in your truck to begin with.

how loud is it with the truck running ? i slept in a big truck 35 years, motor running for heat and ac, you get used to it, im pretty sure it seems a lot quieter with the engine running .the ac in my 20ft rpod camper sounds like a freight train when its running .

The 12 volt units are nearly the same price of the higher quality 120 volt units.
The 120 volt unit on my Volvo lasted 2.5 years without any problems and was whisper quiet.

Try smoothing out the plastic blades and all transitions from the fan to the vents

What was the power source? The normal truck batteries?

I can deal with the noise, I’ve seen Chinese writing on the unit so tells me that it’s not made in America. My problem is that I didn’t get the blower that goes inside the cab. Even in my home I still hear the air conditioner. I just wanted to know that it does a good job.

It's for a construction machine, they didn't send the brushless quiet evaporator, that will be much quiet and like home sperate model.

You failed to mount both the condenser & evaporator on insulators to prevent and vibration transfer to the sheet metal.

RV roof AC units are much noise than that.

You have 3 air vents closed the air will rush to squeeze through the 2 open . And if is vibrating and you said was damaged. It could be the fan is unbalanced
