If this does work with Frozen Orb, this is going to be the build of season 5.

I'm not sure but I think you'll get about as many Lightning Spears with the season 4 Frozen Orb build. Did a bit of napkin math and with the updated Winterglass you'll be summoning about one spear per cast of Frozen Orb. 95% double cast, 3 explosions per cast, 65% chance per explosion to get a random conjuration, that's 1.95 * 3 * 0.65 * 0.33 = 1.25, which is about 3 times better than Spark + Unstable Currents (1.4 * 0.25 = 0.35). Since you won't run the double cast tempers for Lightning Spear your hard casts will only summon two spears instead of four, but on the other hand the ludicrous amount of Frozen Orb explosions will give you an insane amount of cooldown reduction so you can cast it more often. Of course you'll also have the Frozen Orb damage on top of the Splintered aspect, which has been buffed by almost 25% in season 5.

So I think the real contender is if you can abuse increases to Lucky Hit Chance and get enough Frozen Orbs (and therefore cooldown reduction) from only Winterglass + Lightning Spear so that you can basically spam Lightning Spear non-stop without ever having to use Spark.

Wudi out here making Lightning Spear happen! One thing to consider is putting either lucky hit Poison or Shadow damage on a weapon/offhand to get that fourth stack from the Tal Rasha ring. If I'm not mistaken, the extra 20% multiplicative damage would be better than more additive crit strike damage.

I’m curious if new fractured will proc the frozen orb enchantment so you don’t have to slot in fire bolt enchant for the extra crit. This build seems very interesting.

Took a look at your guide and was wondering why we're not using invocation glyph. Seems like a LOT of crit damage - I'm guessing it doesn't work with with aspect? Also is it really worth it to run a staff over sword and focus?

So I'm running this insane chain lightning build with Andariels and it might be better than lightning spear. Been one shotting bosses and walking through T8 hordes. And I don't even have Tyraels yet. It's so tanky and I soloed a 4 person Lilith as they stood and watched me one shot her
