The Demigod's Trial - Neikea (Pocahontas) Audition

Hello everyone!

Yes! It is I, Seawitch, coming back from the void. That's what the loss of a computer will do to you I guess? And what am I bringing back as a gift? Yes! Another audition video!
It was for the wonderful roleplay, hosted by the (amazing) Kiandra that you can find here:

Storytime:

Neikea was born during a storm, when every sounds and lights were clashing with each other. During the 20 years that followed, her life was similar to the storm that had seen her come into this world: having to fight constantly with the children of the other houses, being betrayed by a beloved one, life was not easy for the daughter of the Goddess of Discord.

Her only joy were her siblings. Three brothers in particular. Alas, one was ripped away from the children of Eris, and the remaining ones kept to themselves. As the oldest "Adelfí" of her generation, Neikea swore to avenge the brother they all had lost.

So when Hades suddenly appears in front of her in the temple of Zeus, a proposition as a gift, she does not refuse. What better way to take revenge on the ones that did you wrong than becoming a god?

After all, what would be life without some chaos thrown in it?

Personality:

When still in the early years in her life, Neikea tried to change the vision that the village inhabitants had of the children of Eris, but renounced to this dream once in her teenage years.

Instead, she learned how to be cunning, how to appear harmless but still managing to have the upper hand. As many of the children of Eris, she prides herself in the fierce unity of her house and won't hesitate to defend any of her sibling.

"Observes. Wait. Spreads the venom and go for the heart." That is the credo of the children of Eris, and she never forgets it.

Additional info:

-A very few of the house of Eris became gods or goddesses. The last who was chosen was two centuries ago.

-Neikea is the oldest adelfí in her generation, which means she holds the title of "older sister" and is in charge of the younger siblings.

-The children of Eris are fiercely protective of each other, and rarely interact with children of the main gods. They will be likely found with the children of lesser gods.

-The loved one that betrayed her was Echo, a daughter of Aphrodite.

-The names of Neikea and her brothers were chosen among the names given in mythology to the children of Eris:
-Neikea (Quarrels)
-Logoi (Stories)
-Ate (Ruins)

-The children of Eris are considered to be as beautiful as the children of Aphrodites yet as dangerous as the venom of a cobra in the village.

Hello!! This was such an spectacular audition!! We can't thank you enough for it!!

-Great first shot of the city with the walls
-Masking is excellent
-We all love how you created such a strong bond between the different children of Eris.
-The shot at 00:29 is amazing. You included constantly a lot of characters together in one frame, whicih we love!!
-The whole scene at the temple is amazing.
-We love how well you did the moving illumination according to the fire flames!!
-Our only problem is that subtitles are sometimes a bit too fast to read and sometimes a little bit too dark, like in 00:48. A white outline to make them "pop" would have been perfect. Still, it's not a major problem.
-LOVE the last line "partners indeed, *uncle* " yassss.
-Also love how you specify Eris children are beautiful as Aphrodite's, but dangerous. Gotta love that!
-Aslo the names you gave them are so well thought of! It's obvious how invested you are in the world already!

Omg this is such a beautiful audition!!!! Everything about it is so clean and lovely to look at!!! Especially the lighting with the fire!!! Love the dialogue too, and her referring to Hades as uncle. Fabulous!!!! You deserve so many more subs!!!

OOoh Yessss!!!! I LOVE IT! 😍😍👏👏👏 great job!!!! I don't even know where to start! I like the name you gave her, Nikea iz very very pretty :3 I love her character and the info you put un the description just give us a complete understanding on how she is. The dialoges are perfect!! love the interaction with Hades, she calls him "uncle"!! I adoore! And the language you used! ten springs sounds so much more fitting than ten years! And I love the manip of all the temples and buildings at the beginning! Really enjoyed this! 👏👏 amazing job!!

I actually should sleep, but this is amazing. Such a creative story and your dialoges are so great. Pocahontas (sorry that I don't write the real name) is so mature and calm but very maniplutive. I hope that maybe someone gives her a light to her and if not I have to feel sorry for her. The manips are so well done and I love how you use the greek mythologie. If you don't get in then I need to take a huge breath before I get mad. ( No I won't but it would be sad.) Be proud of your work dear. It is fantastic.

Oh boy, that was so beautiful. I really love your manips, but most of all your character is very well written and I want to see more of her ❤ Her relationship with her siblings is very touching. My only regret is that the dark blue subtitles are difficult to read since they are too dark, so I was sometimes lost during the video because I couldn't read what the characters were saying. But except that your audition is one of my favourite with the one including Tarzan (I would love to see your characters interact if you are both selected ❤) I hope you will get in !

OMG YESSSS I love Pocahontas as Eris' decedent <333 and your manips are so clean and beautiful!! I love the fire illumination flickering!! (also if we both get in I wanted to plot since Thanatos and Eris be siblings, Tarzan needs a family XD)

Nice audition! I really liked Pocahontas’ motivation and her acceptance towards the path of chaos. Any chance you’re interested in plotting as well since both of our characters are children of Eris and both of them have something against the children of Aphrodite?
