Let's be honest, Drose is the epitome of what we want to be when we were young. Fast, strong, vicious, badass, humble.

The man was so talented that the human body couldn't keep up.

Easily one of the most heartbreaking stories in sports. This man would’ve easily been top 10

At only 6'2", Derrick Rose in his prime was one of the most explosive, athletic, fearless and exciting guards in NBA history!

Man, this guy is unreal. His play style is so freaking good. I got goosebumps just by watching him when he's in his prime. Humble yet so fierce. He's what we all wants to be. He's a 99 overall in NBA.

Watching these highlights brings me to tears ngl. Came from the rough neighborhoods of south side Chicago, recruited by his local NBA team, becomes the MVP, then falls back a ton after a series of tragic injuries. He may be a shadow of his past in terms of physical capability, but he has been reborn a much more wiser player & man than before. One of the wisest players in the league afaik. Pouring out gold in all his recent interviews.

Now in 2023, he’s in the same team with Ja Morant, who is the polar opposite in terms of upbringing, but shows similarities in his plays. A master and disciple scenario that I can’t keep my eyes off of. Let’s all see how the torch gets passed down.

D Rose is what the sport is all about. It’s so human and raw and I love it. Peace.

One of the biggest “what ifs” in nba history. If he woulda never got hurt he would most likely be in the top 5 PG of all time conversations. In his prime, he made plays no other nba player ever could

Watching D Rose play just automatically puts a smile on my face. Forget the injuries and what he could’ve been, we should celebrate the man for what he became DESPITE the injuries. He was the goddamn man and still, In the words of Avon Barksdale, “he a man today, he a man.”

The biggest "What if's" in the NBA.

I would donate both my knees just so I could witness a prime D Rose. There will never be another… His skillset, athleticism, ball handling, acrobatics, body control, killer instinct, work ethic, humbleness… It kills me, cause that man truly deserved everything. The hometown hero, the windy city assassin. Too big, too fast, too strong, too good.

Westbrook might dunk harder/angrier, but this dude was more explosive and quicker. Unreal.

The way Rose changes positions in the air along with his explosiveness and hops made him one of the greatest players Chicago has ever seen
