if you loop an emerald you will be able to admire its “jardín”, the French word simply describes the imperfection of the emerald.

Some imperfections are very hard to see with the naked eye and we can then call the gems “eye clean”

Gems that have visible feathering, imperfections, or carbon (black) are considered visibly included.

I love the French term used. Instead of "feathering, " they call them 'Jardin' for garden. More romantic for such a beautiful stone.

I think stones with some inclusions look better than perfectly clear ones, if you want something perfectly clear just get a lab made stone, cheaper clearer.

I know the cleaner emeralds are more rare and more expensive, but I prefer the imperfections. I like the cloudy look. It’s different and looks less like a lab created emerald.

Since its a clarity 3 gemstone, it can possibly affect durability if the inclusions reach to the surface of the gemstone even tho its 7 1/2 to 8 on the mohs scale. If i remember correctly, they often treat emeralds with a resin or oil thats close to the refractive index of the emerald and heat it up and it improves its clarity.

When comparing the two in her hand, the one below not only has imperfections but it’s cut poorly. The top one is the one on her finger.

It's still absolutely gorgeous. My preference over all other stones, including most people's favorite the diamond. Emeralds have some mysterious msgic in theor depths.

No one looks for a flawless Emerald.
Emerald has to be flawed.
It is the character of a real emerald.
Without flaw emerald is most likely to be fake.
Check for the inclusions inside.
There must be some inclusion inside visible with naked eye.
Without inclusion it's more likely to be a glass filled emerald. Even the most expensive ones has got some inclusion.
