It's actually kinda funny how throughout the years even with djokovic being a fierce competitor to these two equally, both nadal and federer only ever recognised each other as their primary greatest rival and the one they have the utmost respect for. It's heartwarming to see how they want their legacies to be remembered undetachable from their epic rivalry. As Federer had said, they grew up together, conquered the world together and now nearing the end of their careers together. Their rivalry is a once in a lifetime gift to sports. No matter how many years have passed, for us born in this era, tennis is always that 4th set tie breaker under the Wimbledon skies, and it is always 2008.
