Tami said families across Jamaica came together to watch Tessanne on the voice, it was really families across the entire Caribbean. I remember coming together, sitting in my living room with my entire extended family in Antigua rooting for Tessanne. We screamed when the chairs turned for her and cried like if she was our sister when she won. The ENTIRE Caribbean celebrated in that moment because we viewed it as not only a win for Jamaica but also a win for the entire region! I absolutely love hearing her story.

I don't think any Jamaican missed a night on the voice. Did not know about the voice until Tessan entered it. Those were happy moments for me. I still watch the youtube videos.

I remember when you guys came to Florida, tami was pregnant and she and Tess check into the hotel late. Around 10 pm. I checked you both in at the Hyatt Pier 66 at the time and I remember upgrading you to the Marina suite and you guys saying “Devroy how deh walk yah so far”. But you guys were such a pleasure to see and work with and I will never forget that day. I’m happy to be able to reflect on such good times.

I have my own story with the voice; internet stopped working at home on that crucial night and I drove to McDonald's with my laptop in tow, ordered food and proceeded to vote with almost every email in my contacts. I was there for hours. So proud of you for sharing Tess ❤

All us Trinis in Canada were glued to the Voice that season, fully backing Tessie, we were and are so proud of you. Every week as the show is about to start, there is the collective check-in of all the Voicers on FB, making sure nobody misses it. Loved hearing your side of the experience and l am looking forward to tomorrow for the rest of it.

I never missed a Voice Performance from Tessi. There was a level of joy and pride I had hearing her sing.

1. Tami’s blowout looks amazing.
2. Tess is so beautiful — inside and out.
3. Wayne is the consummate supporter. Everybody needs a Wayne in their corner.
4. The Voice, sadly, like every other singing show, is not and was never actually interested in developing talent. It’s all about ratings and feeding the egos of their celebrity judges. If they cared about their artists they would ensure better record deals and handling of the talent. One of the many good things that came out of it though—that even The Voice can’t fumble or diminish—is that now the whole world knows what an extraordinary talent Tessanne actually is. No gimmicks. No manufacturing. No artificial packaging. Just pure talent. Big up Tessanne.
