Mr RB describes his experience with his diagnosis of quadruple coronary artery disease and his struggle to find a keyhole heart surgeon with the skill to offer him keyhole heart surgery. After visiting our lead cardiac surgeon, Mr Inderpaul Birdi, Mr RB successfully underwent keyhole coronary bypass grafting to 4 arteries on is heart through a small cut between the ribs on the left side. He was delighted to avoid breastbone break. Mr RB is probably the first patient in the United Kingdom to undergo such a procedure to date.

Good for you! So glad you found Mr Birdi in time to avoid other surgeons. I know he is fabulous.

What meds did they put you on after the surgery?

Don't you think the NHS would be doing this type of operation if the mortality rate was low?

My dear friend just died during this type of surgery. Clotting, several RE-surgeries, opened up 2x and left open for a week, induced coma for 2 weeks to a sad end. Went in for triple, but very healthy otherwise. We all wonder had she had the conventional type surgery, perhaps she would have survived. She walked in and left in a coffin. If she did nothing she may have lived another 10 years 🤷‍♀️😢
