I am super keen to grow this channel, not for money, but but for the fun of it. How many of us has gotten so much value from youtube instructional video? I sure have, so paying it forward.

Step by step instructions on how to install an adapter kit to turn a non-boost hub into boost compatible hub. I did this to allow my spare, non boost wheel, to fit my MTB boost front fork.

OMG thank you so much mate, I spent a whole night trying to figure out what I need to do to fit my new fork on my current 15x100 wheel hub!

Thank you!

Thanks for the instructions, also helpful for road bikes as the bike industry is going fully with built-in obsolescence, changing hubs and frame “standards”.
I found JJBP conversion kits very helpful. Contacted wheel manufacturer’s customer service, but they rather want to sell new wheels then help you use your existing wheel sets.

I used this same kit to put my nonboost wheel on my new fork! A little hack you can do is just tape those spacers to the hub end caps so it's much easier to get the thru-axle through everything

I just use a small amount of gorilla tape ripped narrow enough to get em on. But I'm thinking about getting some shrink tubing to put over it. Maybe give that a try.

Is it safe? Can the adapter kit withstand hard braking on a trail environment?

I think, that if you have a flat tire, the best way would be to lay the bike on the side while changing the tube so you won't lose those tiny spacers.
You can convert the tire to tubeless if the rim lets you do that.

Other than fussing with the spacers, really no negative that I can see other than bike shop looses a new rim sale. Right!?

What spacer kit did you use? Any differences you see with a centrelock rotor install?

So i guess there is no way to add a disc to a wheel, without changing the hub and respoking?
i have seen adaptors to add a caliper, if your frame is without mounting tabs for dsc brakes.
i could buy a new bike for the cost of disc mounted wheels for my mountain bike
Thanks for clearing up "what these adaptors are for", makes sense why they don't have threads in the holes.

what if brake discs are center lock type?

How does a large 12 mm through axle go through a non-boost will. Typically non-Bruce Willis have skewers so this is not valid.
