I admire the concept and the simplicity of such a useful conversion which can be used for linear to circular motion conversion. Congratulations to that clever mind. Especially the linear free piston Stirling engines which NASA is working on can use this kind of conversion for a circular motion. This concept clearly eliminates the weakness of Scotch Yoke or Quick return Mechanism like conversions in which the 2 unstable points make them unusable for many projects.

Interesting solution. Not sure about torque and stresses involved, in case of a real life application, when compared to more traditional reciprocating solutions.
