I think Spagnuolo has secured his place in the HOF with this 4th ring.

The thing I love about Spagnuolo is the calculated risks he's willing to take, that a lot of other coaches aren't. But he's also blessed with a secondary that can line up any old which way and deliver anything from a jailbreak blitz to dropping 8 in coverage. The guy you thought was playing the slot was actually going to play deep half, in a cover 2, or the cover 2 that turns into single high, with an overload blitz to one side.

I don't know how much credit Dave Merritt gets, but perennial success developing their young DBs to play with such a deep understanding says a lot. Getting talented players who are smart as this group is also says a lot about the scouting and the front office. Merritt doesn't come across the best in front of a microphone, but I think he's gotta be one of the best DB coaches KC's had, to judge by the results.

I think much is made of SF's decision to take the ball, first. To MY mind, it was the right thing to do, strategically, because of how tired those guys on defense were. They were fresh off a KC scoring drive to tie the game.

Kelce knew it was wide open because he had his eyes on Charvarius Ward and Kelce could tell he got the right angle on his release and that Ward's eyes were on him, instead of Hardman. That play was all about making Ward think Kelce was his guy to the outside. Once Kelce saw that, I think he wanted to watch Hardman make the catch. Ward was the outside defender and when he kept his eyes on Kelce, it was all over. Perfect timing on the snap, where the motion was broken off behind Kelce and the right tackle at the snap, and if Ward kept inside leverage on Kelce, hardman was going to be invisible for a beat, and if Kelce angled out a little bit, Hardman stays hidden a beat longer. And that's kind of how it happened. Perfect execution against a defense conditioned to seeing Hardman race across the formation at the snap.

That was the most accurate postgame I've heard this year. Very well done.

I believe it's the first time I put the podcast to play in the youtube and is VERY strange (jn a good way) to see your faces, even already recorded a show with Robert. Another amazing episode and love to see Robert got emotional in the end.

Great job Nate and Robert.
The Mahomes factor was the difference.

LOL at the guy who kept coming into and out of the background during the show who was randomly scavenging stuff from seats.

I am not surprised at all by the outcome, SF couldn't put up points when they needed to and honestly were lucky to even be in the SB.

Had a great season guys can’t wait for free agency and the draft 🙏

If you are playing for a third possession possibility, you have to go for it on 4th down inside red zone and then go for two after a TD.

There is no situation where there will be a third possession because Andy Reed will never be playing for a FOURTH possession. He will win or lose going for it on every 4th down and he will go for 2 after any TD.

Know your opponent.

Watching a team you root for lose three straight Super Bowls in brutal ways is emotionally gutting but hope remains eternal.

What you said is accurate this is a league of QB1 and QB2 tiers. If you want to win a SB you need one of those guys.

Great job as always lads.

I'm gonna get heat for saying this, but I think the reputation of the trio of Reid, Mahomes, and Kelce is so deeply entrenched that we won't even consider this Chiefs defense to be on the same level as the 1985 Bears or 2000 Ravens even though they were statistically pretty similar and dominated nearly every game they played.

Kyle Shanahan didn’t know the overtime rules and that cost them the game.

You Can DOUBT the CHIEFS,
You Can DISLIKE the Chiefs,
You Can DISRESPECT the CHIEFS,
But in the End You're Gonna Have To
DEAL with the B2B SB LVIII CHAMPIONS
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS!

I like Pacheco but they need another RB, draft one this year- with the division and AFC getting better, you need to have a consistent run game and keep your defense top 10

Boom, there were other bad defensive play-calls aside from the ones you pointed out. While it was good overall, that's the effing point with Wilks. He thinks that if he mixes them in with overall okay to great plays, it's okay to have some crappy ones & he's _wrong!!!_
The crappy ones allowed the other team to make it on Big Downs. It's as if Wilks is just calling them in some predetermined order & if that means they give up 1st downs on 3rd or 4th, he just can't help it when actually, he _can!_ It's *his decision!*
