25:00 Proud papa: My daughters Econ project was her, and three classmates made a parody song. They used my room and wrote the lyrics. My Daughter did the rap in the middle of the song. If you give it a thumbs up they get extra credit for sharing it with friends and family. Thank you for considering helping out.

Why do I like Phil McKnight ? He knows a lot, and he seems like a decent guy and upright businessman. I don't begrudge anyone making money to live and eat, and this guy does a nice job of being honest while making a living. That's not easy to do now a days.

Loved the PRS story! I really enjoy stories from the guitar store era - it's like insider information that we don't normally have access to.

I’m not a PRS fan and don’t have one amongst the 25 guitars I have. But.. they have really achieved something to be such a prominent name amongst Fender, Gibson and Gretsch

That video from your daughter and her friends is really cool. My friends and I competed in a "mock rock" competition in high school that I still have fond memories of. She'll not only remember this forever but watch it again and again through different stages of her life. I think that's awesome, I wish I had a video of me and my friends doing a Blues Brothers routine.

Thank you so much, Phil! I know I framed the question as Princeton or Deluxe, but you gave me exactly what I hoped for…a discussion. I love your balanced outlook on gear and how you explain it to us. Looking forward to the Princeton video!

From LeoM. on the topic of brands, I have some Gibson and Fender guitars, and also many other brands, including PRS. I have not bought a guitar based on brand since the early 1970's. If I like how a guitar feels and like how it sounds, I get it. I don't even care about resale when I buy one for myself.

I hate to say it - PRS has been better than the rest for a long time. I love my Strats but when it comes to single cut 24.75 PRS is and has been killing it. Now they pulled off the Strat too with the JM which I absolutely love. I've played Asymmetrical necks and just don't like em and sold them within a few weeks. Live in super humid climate and prefer Ebony over all others. PRS guitars are freaking perfect. Paul is killing it and even his Amps are superb too!

Thanks Phil. Love all the “shop talk”. Reminds me of the good old days when I worked at a store. Dunlop Mudslides ftw

Phil: Is the that a Gretsch 6118 Anniversary JR behind you on the wall next to the god top Les Paul?
Many of the Sterling necks are asymetrical. LOVE Sterling necks!!!
Rosewood: Haven't heard a YouTuber say they prefer Rosewood before. Definitely prefer rosewood with small frets!!!
PRS: OMG! My 1st electric was a PRS and I just couldn't bond with it... felt like it had no soul... Yet I've never heard anyone else say that! Now, I know I'm not alone. Thank you!

I like rosewood fretboards purely because of how they look.

IMO the evertune really shines on extended range guitars. Zero pitch drift on lower strings even when you're tuned super low is amazing.

When Phil is talking about the buzz/vibrating in the Blues Deluxe, I've got a Koch Jupiter Jr that did the same thing. I figured out it was due to bass frequencies rattling the backboard as they worked through the space between the cabinet backboard and the chassis. I fixed this by using the high tech solution of folded up carboard wedged in a few places in that gap. I had to find the places with trial and error, but it works and still provides airflow.

Watched your daughters video and liked. At least a couple of thousand times better than any project I completed (or didn't complete) in high school. 👍

Great show once again Keep 'em I've been waiting for you to compare the Princeton and DR. I agree with your Keep both
P.S I'm taking a leave day from work for the 300th Show. I'm not expecting anything different, just to share your milestone with you and your awesome community.

Gotta hand it to Paul Reed brought a guitar to market that combined two iconic models from Gibson AND Fender and it proved to be a roaring success.
I don't like everything in his catalog (especially the prices!!) and I am not a fan of some of his finishes but I WILL be buying a DGT SE in Dark Cherryburst when it is released. Ya just can't find an affordable used DGT that was made at the US factory.

I feel that my ESP/LTD MH-1001FR has an asymmetrical neck. It feels amazing.

My Stage Right 15w tube amp is fantastic. Although it does have upgraded tubes and a eminence Swamp Thang speaker.
