Bruce Lee versus Bolo Yeung was the fight that everyone wanted to see in Enter the Dragon, but John Saxon's character took the honors of facing Bolo in the final act of the movie.

Since Bruce Lee was the hero of the movie, of course he was going to win a fight in Enter the Dragon, but who would win if they fought for real?

What if I told you that Bolo Yeung was curious about Bruce Lee, and he wanted to know why no one wanted to mess with Bruce Lee?

What if they had a real fight on the set of Enter the Dragon to see who was the best between the two of them?

I always loved Bolo's villain characters in movies over the years. He was so menacing looking.

I saw Enter the Dragon when it first came out. I was with my girlfriend in a drive-in movie sometime in the Spring of 73? Nobody ever saw fights that were like that in "Hi-def" at the time. The movie was made with top-notch cameras for its day. I still remember the shock I felt when Bruce killed his opponent after jumping on his chest, in slow-motion. That was some very creative cinematography at the time.

Thanks for sharing! Even if Bolo Yeung was greater in raw strength, but Bruce Lee were a lot faster in combat speed. Bruce Lee win for sure.

Bolo had too much respect for Bruce to state anything negative. Like he said.. there’s only 1 Bruce Lee, and most likely, there would never be another one as great!

Michael Chan Wai-man was mentioned, a real-life triad boss and full-contact fighter as badass as anything he played onscreen, and he said even though he never “fought” Bruce he KNEW he was the real deal; that he’d seen people as fast but not with the same kind of matching power. As for Bolo, he’s never hesitated to speak in awe of his friend; and when Lee historian George Tan asked if he taught Bruce any weight training, he laughed and said, “You kidding? Bruce taught ME, ” claiming the Little Dragon could OUTLIFT him.

Bruce always kept his professional manor throughout the filming. Most of his demonstrations kept him out of fights because of his speed. He always treated others with respect and never pushed a challenge. He doesn't like destroying teachers' relationships with students. Bolo was stronger but not faster. They were very respectful to each other during filming.

🇿🇦 I was only 3 years old when I saw for the first time a BRUCE LEE poster, and immediately I fell in love with this Martial Artist Kung-Fu fighter posed in his Kung-Fu dress. After that I studied BRUCE LEE'S moves. BRUCE LEE is one of a kind you'll never find again. LEGEND. Sharon Coetzee.

Bolo had bodybuilding achievements.
And you 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 Bruce Lee...
He respected 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 who has seriously made an effort to achieve something in life legitimately,
without cheating on others,
or stealing from others.
Honour and self-respect was important to Bruce Lee's sense
of self-improvement.
Which made him such
a good learner of things
new to him.

Bruce Lee's training regimen was centered around speed and power and endurance!

Master Lee is the best that there has ever been. I’m not taking anything away from Bolo. Bolo was great back in the day. Bolo is now in his 70’s, and I’m sure he could kick my a$$.

Bolo Yeung (Yang Sze) was a fine physical specimen, magnificently developed from a bodybuilding perspective but i do not believe he would have been competitive with Bruce Lee in a fight, it would have been over very quickly with Lee's speed proving decisive.
I love Bolo Yeung though, one of the great villains of chinese cinema.

This truly makes sense. People forget the exercise fanatic Bruce was. Weight lifting, bodyweight exercises but most importantly isometric's. Isometric's greatly increases strength through muscle fiber recruitment.

Bolo really admired Bruce for a reason. You don't need to fight someone to respect them. I'm sure he saw Bruce fight on the set. If Bruce lightly tapped my cheek with his would've been like "We're cool Bruce!" He doesn't need to knock me out for me to know my place. People talk crap about Bruce Lee but when he was alive, no one told him anything and if they well look up his handball court fight.

Bruce Lee spent most of life challenging people who wanted too fight him. Question is, what person ever gain the advantage over him? Bolo is pretty smart and no man's dummy, challenging Bruce would be the biggest mistake of his career. That's why he respect Bruce so much, because he knows what he can do.

Makes sense what you say. I admire both martial artists. I'd rather not speculate who was the better. Water under the bridge so to speak.

Don’t forget Jim Kelly RIP who is also a dominant figure. His character supposed to survive and partnered with Bruce Lee in the final fight of the movie but got blackballed.

I met the late Bob Wall about 30 years ago in Las Vegas. He told me that Lee and Bolo were good friends. Bolo was a very nice guy, and really didn't know any Martial arts. He was big and strong, and an actor.

I love the cutscenes of (Bruce Le) my favorite Bruce Lee clone while you were telling the story. I wish the scene between them would’ve happened. Honestly I believe Bruce would get the win.
