The Block Picker Mod! - Space Engineers

This is the Block Picker mod for Space Engineers! A cool and useful mod that allows you to press Ctrl+G to get a exact copy of the block you are looking at. Super useful for building large complex structures or ships when you can't tell what blocks where used or are too lazy to go through the block selector to find it. I go over how this mod works, what it can and can't do and that's about it!

OMG why is this NOT vanilla?!?!?!!!! With all the DLCs, there just aren't enough hotbars, and so for the less frequent blocks, you could build yourself a "painter's pallette" to go and grab them from nearby when building things up, especially in creative.

This is very convenient! It's maddening how often this would have proven useful when repairing damaged ships or otherwise building grids. Totally agree that this should be a vanilla feature, it's a massive quality of life improvement!

Never added a mod to my game as fast as I did this one. Thank you for bringing its existence to my attention.
This and the "Mirror mode in survival" should both be vanilla in my opinion.

There is a plugin that has the exact same name as this mod, and it does not have the limitation of not being able to pick the color or skin of a block.

I get that this is a very useful mod, but to repair ships in survival you should really just make blueprints regularly and use a projector to display the missing blocks.

Im working on a mod that might interest you. Kind of picked up the work where its original author left off.
Its called "No PB - Info LCD Enhanced". You can think of it like a poor mans Automatic LCDs 2.
Itll display various ship inventories, along with some ship systems and even a damage report on LCD screens.

I just walk up to a block armed with my welder and it tells me which block it is.
