As I do appreciate her upgrade of the quality of mattel actually listening to us on the clothing, I do believe they spent more on the packaging and not enough on the fabrics, layering details and enough attention to detail based solely on the 100 bucks price tag ! Compared to Mga already giving this to us for a Meir 25-35 bucks ! And this is Mattel! Which is already a multimillion dollar company that has been around for 60 years ! Haven’t they learned by know what we want ?! I sure do miss my 90s type barbies so much and still have them ! Come on Barbie !! Come on !

All recent "collector"-esque Barbies feel like they are two times too expensive in terms of quality.
I'm not a Barbie collector, and at this rate I don't think I'll ever be.

Prices for a lot of things are outrageous these days. I'm 47, and things that used to cost around $40 to $50 are now above $100. Toys, cosmetics, clothing, just a lot of things, are so much more expensive than they used to be. It feels like a bit of a scam to me. There's no way I'd pay $100 for that doll! I'm sure Barbie could be much better for less money. I just won't be convinced otherwise.

I think, for me at least, the doll herself looks like any other basic made to move, just in nicer clothes. That sculpt and paint is cute on a playline doll, but seeing it on a $100 collector doll for adults doesn't really sell it for me. I can buy similarly made clothes on etsy and dress a doll i already own for a similar look for half that. like you said, somewhere around $60 might have been a more fair.

I got her a couple of weeks ago and I agree with you about the price. $60-$75 would have been more reasonable to me. Her hair you really have to work with it. Some of it was wavy some of it straight. I do love her face and it was basically perfect. The black faux leather jacket is very cool.. lovin' it! The box is amazing. I noticed the made2move body quality seemed better, too. The pink pantsuit is ok. Overall.. I like her but I'm not doing cartwheels over her. For a $100.. seems over priced. I doubt if I get the next one in the series.

This looks to be marketed towards modern moms in their 30’s... which is me, but it’s still a no. My Barbies from the early 90’s are still better quality.

$100 MTMs with decent clothing doesn't have to be the world we live in. Mattel will only keep charging this much if people are willing to pay it. I'm surprised to hear that her body quality is better. I would be willing to pay up to $20 for just the jacket+dress as fashion pack, but wouldn't pay $100 for everything. $60 makes a lot more sense.

Yeah, I'm just not feeling this doll. I appreciate the packaging, but it's honestly a waste of money to my mind. And she's a basic Millie face doll on a MTM body and a boring hairstyle. The clothes are OK but I would've liked this set more if it were a two-doll set and each came wearing one of the outfits. I don't see the $100 value here.
