The app provides three ways of managing volume pricing in salesforce.
- Bands. The customer pays the same unit price for the quantity of products.
- Tiers or Steps. The customer pays a successively lower price for each pricing band.
- Incremental. Every additional unit of quantity is charged at a marginally lower price.
System administrators or product managers associate each product with a price group. This defines the volume based prices for that product.
Salespeople enter the quantity of the product and the Volume Pricing app automatically inserts the relevant price, based on the volume.
