“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”

“For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

"Made like him, we rise like him" was not in the Lutheran hymnal. And it wasn't in my African American Heritage Hymnal either. But I love this hymn & I loved these lyrics. I think I've listened to it five times in the last couple of days. Thank you.

I was wondering if Hymnsite could also upload another renown hymn titled 'Jesus shall reign' composed by Isaac Watts.

Why are 2nd and 3rd stanzas the other way around in the baptist hymnal vs. the methodist? The 2nd is "Lives again our glorious King" and the 3rd is "Love's redeeming work is done".

I absolutely love this song but the pianist is rushing a bit, let me savour the words a little, nuh.
What’s the rush, can’t even breathe properly.
