Text: Charles Wesley | Tune: EASTER HYMN

Christ the Lord is ris’n today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say: Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heav’ns, and earth reply: Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Dying once, he all doth save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!

Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids Him rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Foll’wing our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

The Resurrection of Christ is the very BedRock of the Christian's faith! On this premise we stand or fall! Bit thank God, we are standing even after two-thousand-years!

I love the words to this hymn and the music as well. The Protestant Church that I used to go to also did an amazing job on this glorious hymn every Easter morning as well. I'm Orthodox now, and our Lord's Resurrection is of the utmost importance in our church as we sing, "Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tomb, bestowing life."

Without the resurrection there would be no Christianity! Easter, the most important day in history!!!! Every day should be Easter in the Christians spirit. EVERY DAY!!!!

BRAVO TO THE SINGERS AND MUSICIANS. HE IS RISEN AND CARRY THIS HYMN IN YOUR HEARTS EVERY DAY
12 April 2020

HE HAS RISEN

Have you ever wondered if you were there hearing the tomb of Our Lord was opened and found empty.
How fast would you be running to shout the news HE IS RISEN
And then when you caught your breath can you feel the glow in the words you have shouted to all to hear....HE IS RISEN
I bet you would be chatting like a mile a minute at the Good News HE IS RISEN
What do you think the rabbis priests at the Temple would be saying, spinning the truth...HE IS RISEN...
]
I have been up since 3Am watching the Roman Mass with Pope Francis.
Never in my life would I have imagined seeing St Peters Cathedral empty but for a few cardinals, the Pope and priests.
How silent and yet beautiful.
Watching the lighting of the Pascal candle, while the church was in darkness, and then the words "..The light of Christ, rising in Glory, dispel the darkness of our hearts and minds." Or in Latin, sung, Lumen Christi, Light of Christ. at that point all of the lights in the church go on.
Usually it would still be in darkness until every persons candle was lit, and you would see this wonderful sight of candles by the hundreds and thousands in the total darkness and then the words Light of Christ and the church would be bathed in light.
2020 and this pandemic has changed so many of us not just in the USA but around the globe.
For a few hoarders may a pox be on them.
For the many who help one another, child, teen, adult senior, animals and all just amazing.
It proves there is more good in all of us than evil.
I do believe in my heart that tho this pandemic, as it continues and so many become ill and pass onto Paradise, much good has come from this crisis.
I do believe more people have turned to God for the first time in their lives and many have come back to their belief in HIM.
When governments have failed who do you turn to ?
Perhaps in this crisis of faith and health, perhaps indeed some good may come forth yet, like the final destruction of socialism and communism raising its ugly head around the world and even in the USA in the very house and senate of the People and the various cities and state legislatures.
When I see the great people from our police, fire depts, ems, emt’s, military, naval hospitals, scientists, doctors, nurses, technicians, housekeepers, maintenance, culinary staff in the hospitals WOW, thank the LORD we have these wonderful souls.

When I see priests who administer to the sick and dying and when ill themselves from this chinese virus, and need a ventilator, they said no, give it to someone else, this happened in Italy and I am sure around the world.
Brave souls, yes, but all who die in the love of GOD and do their best, are they not also martyrs of the faith not mans named faith but the faith in and of GOD?

I say BRAVO to the truck drivers and delivery people for our much needed goods, groceries, medications, as well as the men and women in the distribution/fulfilment centers who package the medications, food etc we need.

Bravo to the men and women working non stop to build more ventilators, masks etc around the world and a pox on those firms and nations who are greedy hoarders.

Yes it has been tough and most likely will be a bit harder, for us to not socially be near one another especially in church and social gatherings.
Let us PRAY that this pandemic will die out, cures will be found and vaccines will be available very soon.
Perhaps of all the people we say Thank You to, it is those brave men and women who volunteer as human guinea pigs trying out, something like 50 possible vaccines against CV19.
Some could very well die, some will be sick but those who make it, will help mankind.
Talk about brave souls and true pioneers.
Each and everyone of these people need to be honored and all before them and after them for their courage to help mankind.
We will come through this.

Our parents and grandparents of 1918 Pandemic (Spanish flu) WW1, WW2, Korea etc, showed us to be always prepared and work together.
Last week I felt so happy I could donate 300 lbs of scrub material to our local hospital who has 100 men and women sewing fabric masks for the people in health care and us the public. If you need a link let me know, but I am sure your own local hospital has folks who can help you. Fabric, t shirts, jackets, all of those bolts of fabric you have lying around can be made into face masks.
HE said LOVE ME, as you LOVE your neighbor.

What have you done for your neighbor, especially someone ill, under the weather, a senior or disabled person with no one to get groceries or their medications etc.
Of course take all protections, but a simple call, a card a note of love and faith.
HE IS RISEN

Thank You Lord for all of Your gifts and love to all of us.
May we always follow YOU and even tho we shall stumble, help us up Lord and guide our path to You always.
You left wonderful words and stories told by your apostles, but of the words from you upon your rising to the heavens to sit at the right hand of Our Father shall always be remembered.

"...for I shall be with you even unto the end of the world (time)....

What a promise You have made to all of us Lord.
Thank You and please bless all of the people of this sad world, bring us from depression and despair and always be with us.
Amen+

Blessings to all who love and honor HIM and blessings to those who do not believe in HIM and may the Angels of Heaven come to them and bring them the Eternal Light and Love of GOD as we who believe in HIM receive. PAX+

It's a one of the greatest hymn for all the time, and unforgettable experience when we sing in church

Easter Sunday, 1999: my boyfriend and I stood in the main church service when the choir opened with this song. We grasped hands in total joy and later got admonished by our college-age ministries pastor for holding hands.
