The Glarry Telecaster style guitar has a maple fretboard, basswood body so it's nice and light, traditional style telecaster pickups and a three way switch, the saddles are a traditional style saddle that can be typically found on telecaster guitars.

Don't forget to check out Steves video where he is donating the Glarry thin line telecaster style guitar.

Thanks for watching.

Same thing I said to Steve, really appreciate these gestures as a veteran. These go to a great cause & equally great people.

Kudos to you, Derek. That is a great thing to do and that guitar will work miracles where it is headed. Never heard of them, but I like what I see and hear, great beginner axes. Also great country picking at the beginning there. Cheers!

My friend, you are great, that was a nice gesture, the guitar sounds pretty nice so someone else will enjoy it and in the process someone that really need a hand will be helped, cheers my man

I just received one of these in black. It was playable out of the box. Don't get excited about the free stuff because there is NO padding in the gig bag and it is basically a nylon shell and the other stuff is throw away. The tuners on mine were stiff and did not turn smoothly. I had a set of inline Tone Ninja lockers and put them on along with a compensating bridge and a good set of Tele pickups I already had. (Anything is an upgrade with this guitar). The black finish is spotless. The neck is a bit chunky but suprisingly had no bad frets and no sharpe fret ends. Setup was pretty spot on from the factory. This Tele is a perfect beginner guitar or for someone like me that refuses to spend a ton on a guitar to buy a name. It looks like a Tele. It sounds like a Tele and if all you did was hang this on a wall you couldn't do any better for the price!

Thank you for the review Derek. I got my Glarry tele copy a couple of weeks ago, the one made of burlywood with the clear wood finish, maple neck, and the thin line “f” hole style with the hollow cavity on top. I bought it for three reasons: beautiful style and finish, super good price ($129.00 brand new, ) and I thought the upper cavity would give it more acoustic projection, so I could get a lot of sound out of it non-amplified. The finish and price are awesome, but I was wrong about acoustic resonance. My spring loaded axes seem to have more projection and resonance. Also it needed minor adjustments and new strings as their strings are lacking in quality. I do enjoy playing it anyway.

I have one of these and was surprised at how good the neck is. The frets have no sharp edges and seem to be level all the wat down the neck. Cheap and fun to play, can't beat it.

Hi Derek, finally caught up with you on this guitar. Glarry's seem to be attracting a lot of attention in the UK for pretty much the same reasons they do in America. They seem to provide a very decent guitar, reasonably well built and of decent quality with the caveat being of course; 'at that price point'. Anybody who buys a guitar at that price as far as I'm concerned and doesn't at least budget for a set up, should have their bumps felt, assuming their' not going to do it themselves of course, if it isn't required, all well and good. They really do look the business and although you are not getting top end tone woods and hardware etc, I think you are getting exceptional value for money, which I think you and Steve have admirably proved. I'll be picking one up later this year as my project guitar as I don't currently own a Tele.

Finally, a big thumbs up to you and Steve, Derek for donating the guitars. Nice to see that altruism is alive and well in the musical community.

My verdict on the ridiculously cheap £56 Glarry Telecaster...
It's not too bad. ☺️
In fact...it's a pretty decently playable and useable guitar for the same price as a meal for two.
I really like the pick-ups and it came without any visible flaws, but needed a quick set-up.
The only fault is one high fret which is easily sorted with a bang of a hammer.
Everything works as it should do.
It is very light and feels quite "raw" because the neck has no finish on it, but it feels smooth and now I've lowered the action a bit it plays very nicely.
I am impressed by the tuning stability and the bridge pick up is a bit of a microphonic beast.
The neck pick up is more jazzy and quieter, but nice.
It doesn't feel as refined as a Squier Tele, but has no really bad faults.
And it also looks really nice in trans green I think?
Overall, I would give it a score of 7/10.
I think any of these Glarrys will benefit from a bit of tweaking on arrival, but overall they are decent guitars.
