I'm a Veteran. A man. This song does hit me. I have PTSD. No one cares what I did. I risked my life for what? I guess nothing. Lived in a mine field why? I guess no reason.

As a woman the first time I listened to this song was when my younger brother played it and it hit me that he wasn't just playing it for no reason, but for his girlfriend to understand what he goes through as a man and I felt the pain, suffering and all sorts of emotions men go through that they don't talk about. ❤ Just know you are loved, seen all effort, appreciated and mostly kept in prayers for the almighty to always heal every broken piece that we women don't see❤❤❤❤

I worked all my life. Went to war. Came home as many didn't. Met a girl. Got her pregnant. We lived together for years before one fateful night I lost my temper and snapped and blacked out on someone at a bar. While in prison she left me. Refused visits. Fast-forward years later. I have 3 kids now. Met a girl as a single father. Her a single mother. Our kids were friends at school. Asked for play dates. Mom and I gave our numbers to the kids to give to each other. We talked for year play dates dinners sleep overs. We dated. Got married. Stayed married had our own daughter. So now I got 5. I worked. She stayed home. All this was before 2017. Fast-forward some more to May of this year. I come home from work with all my shit on the ground and her new dudes ride in my driveway I built. This song hits me so damn hard. I've been battling demons daily. Only reason I'm still here is the kids who call me daddy
