Thank you! My son in law Cpl Jeremiah J. Johnson was injured 26Dec 2006 and died 06Jan07, he was 23. He left behind his wife of 6 years whom he met in Sunday school. Two year old daughter and 4 year old son. They are 19 and 21 now. May our Lord Creator and Saviour bless and keep you. All our vets, please do not take your life, give it to God, and let Him heal you.

I never served personally. But I have a deep respect for those who did. My parents were Air Force. Grandpa was a private in WW2 Eroupen theater, and my cousin was a Marine in desert storm. This country NEEDS to care for those who have given everything willingly. Heart mind soul and body to defend not themselves but the people standing behind them. Our armed forces are our sheild and tip of the Spear. We must support them and care for them.

I’m Joining the army as the first woman in my family. The last living Vietnam veteran in our family passed away before he could be there for my grad. I won’t fail and I will carry our family legacy

I am a USMC Vet, I was medically retired and wound up on the streets for two years. My brother served in the Navy and is one of the “22 a day”. I was almost one of them and wrote this an hour after I pulled my pistol out of my mouth.

Today
Today I ring my voice, swearing service I am to do.
Today I ring my voice, for training is what I do.
Today I put on my uniform, so crisp in black and blue.
Today I put on my uniform, showing honors deep and true.
Today I recieve my orders, to a country far away.
Today I recieve my orders, for it has to be this way.
Today I start my shooting, and bombings through the night.
Today I start my shooting, bullets flying left and right.
Today I morn the fallen, in boxes they're taken away.
Today I morn the fallen, my comrades died this day.
Today I return a hero, the battles have all been won.
Today I return a hero, the lives taken, what have I done.
Today I am cold and hungry, in the country I once served.
Today I am cold and hungry, homeless, is this what I deserve?

RESPECT! This is amazing. I am a 21 year vet of the Canadian Forces, and on the board of an organization called Music Healing Veterans, where we give guitar lessons and kit out military veterans and 1st responders suffering from PTSD and other related visible and invisible injuries. This is an amazing song that I will 100% be sharing with our organization to spread the word. Love this
