Steam Deck - Breath Of The Wild Cemu Emulation (Setup Guide)

In this brief tutorial I show you how to get going with The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on your Steam Deck. I show you how to update your game and install all the DLC's. I also show you a few hacks to get it to run as smooth as possible.

Disclaimer: This require that you have a dump of your own bought copy of BotW. I won't guide you where to get that.

Hi everyone, thanks for watching my content! If you follow these steps and BoTW crash on launch, update/reinstall CEMU (through Emudeck) and reinstall DLC and the Game Update and it should work.

After applying the FPS++ mods and latest community graphics pack, I’m blown away by how well this plays on the SD. I’m several hours in and haven’t had any glitches, crashes, stuttering, or anything like that. I’m getting around 40fps and am thrilled with the performance.

For people getting stuck at 20fps.
Turn FPS++ to 120fps for 60fps.
240 for 120. 80 for 40. Etc.
It doesn't give the correct speeds. It's always half of what you choose.

You sir are my hero! After spending HOURS playing with the fps++ and the vsync settings and not being able to get more than 22 fps while riding Sidon, you are the ONLY person I saw point out the graphics toggle at the bottom of the graphics pack options and to change stuff there.

In graphics settings, change the ration to 16:10. It fills the decks screen and feels more immersive.

Hey dude just letting you know if you show any type of actual install in this video of breath of the wild and not just the emulator Nintendo will have your video taken down just letting you know so you don't mess up like the rest of everybody else

Have not tried it yet. I just wanted to say that this guy is F-ing badass for using his steam trackpad to do all that. I would be fighting with it so much and would have ended up using the mouse.

my problem is that i cannot close the game and I have to force shut down the deck

has anyone had trouble using the trackpads (or any controls for that matter) when in Cemu? The only thing that works is touching the screen, but it doesn't let you select menu items. I feel like I'm missing something really obvious? The game runs, but its at 20fps and I can't access the menus to adjust the settings.
