Eco-briquettes - alternative to conventional charcoal in Zambia

Показать описание
In many Zambian villages, wood and charcoal are the primary sources of fuel for cooking. However, this practice is rapidly depleting forests, putting the local environment at risk. But there’s a sustainable solution: eco-briquettes.

In collaboration with Mumwa Crafts Association, we’re empowering communities across Western Province to create these eco-friendly briquettes. Made from easily accessible plant-based materials, they’re a cleaner, more sustainable alternative to conventional charcoal and require significantly less effort to produce.

This initiative is supported by Jersey Overseas Aid as part of our broader commitment to protecting Zambia's natural resources and promoting sustainable livelihoods. Together, we can make a difference for our environment and future generations.
